Alors que Israël, la Chine, le Canada et vingt et un pays européens ont initié un usage thérapeutique du cannabis, l’Hexagone semble à la traîne. Certes, l’exécutif acceptait en mars 2021 d’en expérimenter l’effet sur trois mille patients souffrant de maladies graves. Pourtant, les producteurs nationaux du chanvre, employés notamment dans le textile, n’ont toujours pas le droit de vendre ses fleurs sur le territoire. Paradoxal… surtout quand on sait que ce végétal ancestral, qui pousse partout et dépollue les sols, pourrait aussi constituer une alléchante opportunité économique, voire écologique...
